This year, we wanted our students to feel like they have an impact on the types of travel activities we led. So, at the beginning of the year we formed a working group of students and staff where we met at regular points to plan what activities we would lead, the logistics of them, and to reflect on how they went. Our students made decisions such as whether the obstacle course would run at break time or during a PE lesson, they helped to design our notice board and where in the school it would be, and took a lead role in travel-focussed assemblies. We recently gave an open invite for staff and students where our TFL Student leaders gave a presentation on the events we have ran this year. We know that our students have enjoyed being part of the working group this year and have asked to continue next year. Being able to get feedback on activities has been extremely useful in planning for next year.
