Air Quality Monitoring- Tree identifation

Thorntree Primary School
Royal Borough of Greenwich

Our story

Having studied the tree indentification resource, I realised this would be applicable to Maryon Wilson park, which is surrounded by two busy main roads and located directly next to our school. I got in contact with the 'friends of maryon wilson park' who ran a workshop for Y5/6 on tree identifcation and how to look for sings of pollution and the effect of air quality.

On the evidence is a map where the children marked on and indetified the different trees. This was a succesful morning session which the children really enjoyed.
