For Road safety week we drew a zebra crossing in the  nursery garden and the children helped to make traffic lights, I taught the children 'Red means No, Green means Go', the children held an adults hand and when the lights turnt green the children on the cars would stop and the children would cross the road safely, we encouraged the parents to get involved to by holding their childs hand and crossing the zebra crossing. At the end of the day the teacher asked the children what they had learnt about road safety and the children were able to tell them that we hold hands with an adult , that we only walk when its a green man and when the cars have stopped.
