Our school had a Dr Bike bicycle safety check & repair session provided by Lewisham Council Road Safety Team

22 Children brought their bikes in to the school for a mechanic to check and repair the bikes or advise on any major repairs that may be required to make bikes safe and in roadworthy condition. We also had 10 school bikes checked and repaired.

Dr Bike was booked to encourage children that are able to travel alone, already cycle or are about to participate in Bikeability Level 1 & 2 to use their bike as active transport to and from school with their parent/Guardians permission. The safety check was also completed on our own pool bikes for children to use that do not have a bike of their own,.
