As part of year 11 transition, the Speech and Language Therapist does weekly sessions with the students. This focuses on preparing our leavers to become more independent and hopefully enable them to travel independently to their post-16 provision and gain confidence in using technology and planning a journey.

The weekly sessions are broken down into:

1. Dealing with change

2. Travel apps - discussing travel apps, practise using different travel apps, planning travel to and from new place of education from home.

3. Problem solving - forgetting oyster card, getting up late, missing the bus etc.
