There are a large number of trips to sports fixtures, museums and other events where the school hires private coaches.

Examples of such trips include the Year 4 trips to Magdelen Farm and Chessington Zoom and Year 3 trips to Sayers Croft Field Centre, Cranleigh and Chatham Dockyard.

Wherever private coaches are used school staff ensure that there is a safe place where the coach can collect and return pupils and staff. Parking for the coach at the destination is planned in advance. These are considered as part of the risk assessment completed by staff.
