The children joined in with a series of activities led by class teachers to increase awareness of road safety. We learnt together how to cross a road safely including when there are  cars parked along the side of the road. We discussed why children are hard for drivers to see and practised crossing roads laid out on the playground, with traffic consisting of children on bikes and scooters. 

Parents were asked to allow the children to decide when roads are safe to cross when going to and from school.
