Year 5 planned a school trip to visit the British Museum and spend the day in London. JTAs and pupils worked together to develop an appropriate travel plan. Using the projector in class, they checked the area map and came up with different ways to travel to their destination. With the help of the JTAs, pupils resolved the different challenges they might face during their day trip and the road safety practises they would need to put in place. The group was split in 4 smaller groups, each of them with an Adult Leader who carried the route maps and the itinerary. When the group returned to school they all agreed that they had a really good time and appreciated the knowledge of active travel that the JTAs and adults had been able to supply.
