Safe and active travel is encouraged throughout the school year on the school website and in the school's Travel Policy.  The school is committed to reducing the percentage of pupils arriving at school by car and this is evidenced by 46% travelling to schooll by car in 2017 whereas it was 56% in 2016. Whilst each academic cohort can vary the numbers of pupils requiring transport by car to/from school, the use of WOW promoted by the JTAs is having a positive impact on the school’s collective attitude towards active travel. The website promotes road safety and awareness and encourages everyone to be courteous to our neighbours by driving and parking considerately.  The Premises Sub-Committee of the Board of Governors review and approve the Travel Policy annually in the Autumn Term, thereby highlighting how sustainable and active travel is a key part of school life.
