a group of 6 children and 3 adults went for a walk  as apart of looking at where to cross the road safely. the adults explained to the children before they went that they will be looking for zebra crossings, traffic lights, speed signs of 20mph, road markings pelican crossing. they were encouraged throughout their walk to talk about the things they saw with the adult they were holding hands with. the children saw 2 zebra crossings, several spped signs of 20mph and lots of people crossing the road when cars were coming which the children said was not how to cross the road, they saw a man run across the road and said he need to wait. children talked about walking and not running when they cross the road because you could fall over and have an accident. they saw other signs such as one way, stop, no entry and asked about them. children showed a good sense of understanding about what they were meant to do through asking questions about what they saw.
