At Berrymede from the week commencing 16th November 2020 we ran a Road Safety Week using the tag line 'No Need To Speed'. We asked the teachers and staff to have a discussion with their classes about road safety and what it meant. We used the video links from Brake and Think! to watch short clips and use these for our discussions. This resulted in the children being more aware of what they should do while they are walking near roads, waiting at traffic lights or zebra crossings and while making sure that they know not to play games such as football near roads.

Next we asked all the children in the school to create a poster for a competition we would run, we selected a few winners and they were awarded some Stars goodie bags. We also shared information with the parents/gaurdians on our classdojo platform and encouraged them to talk about dangers of the roads at home too.
