During Lockdown the STP Champion  & SLT wanted to keep promoting the idea of active travel and its benefits for physical and mental well being.  

It was decided to use the weekend walkies idea from stars and amend it winter walkies/ walks.

Parents and staff were emailed about Winter Walkies / Walks.  Teachers added Winter Walks/Walkies to the folder 'Safe School Streets' on their google classroom.  It was an optional task for all children.

Over 120 pieces of work from nursery to year 6 were submitted.  Parents & pupils talked about the benefits of walking even when it was very cold.  This task will be repeated as an optional homework task for the winter holidays next academic year.
