Geography topic in Year 4, "Why do people choose to live in this area?"

Task- Safe School Streets mentioned by pupils and general concern about traffic around school.

Action - Year 4 carried out a traffic survey over 3 afternoons between 1.30 and 2.30pm.  We created graphs that showed car traffic most popular transport. We looked at information about 'Clean Air Day' and were shocked by the information about air pollution & health.

Results- The children wrote letters to our local MP to express their concerns about car use and traffic pollution.
