School wanted to promote healthy sustainable travel.

Decided to launch a WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK in May as this a National campaign.

Letters sent to parents.  Assembly shared with pupils.  Stickers ordered for winning class.  Posters shared in classrooms. Each class took responsibilty for recording active journeys in class and then uploading on excel sheets.  Also had 'Happy Shoesday' donations were asked to replenish class playground activity boxes.

1,224 active journeys for the week!  Winning class 3S had  additional play time as a prize.  226.00 raised from 'Happy Shoesday', School Council Reps are choosing playtime resources to order.  This will be repeated next year.
