To promote active travel in a fun way we had our second 'Tuesday Shoesday'.  As it was in the week our school was celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee it was renamed 'Jubilee Shoesday'.  Children and adults were invited to wear their favourite shoes to school and encouraged to try and have a red/ white/ blue theme.  All families were asked for a voluntary one pound contribution that would be used by the school to renew playground activity boxes that help the children to enjoy been active at playtime.  Children and parents were informed about this in the newsletter and an email reminder was sent out.  Children were also reminded in the whole school assembly on Monday 6th June.  All children and adults took part two hundred and eighteen pounds were raised for playground resources.  The plan is to have Tuesday Shoesday next year.
