School Council want to promote awareness of benefits of sport. We decided to have  a'bike to school week' competition.  Parents informed by letter with link to Sustran's video to check bike is ready.  Children informed in assembly and through posters .  School SLT handed out tickets to all children who arrived at school on cycle/ scooter.  Classes kept a tally of how many tickets (cycle/scooter rides) were carried out each day.  At the end of the week the class with the most cycle / scooter journeys were awarded a special playtime . All the individual entry cards 458 were collected and a  draw was made .  The winner was awarded with a 25.00 Halfords voucher. This will be repeated next year and has highlighted that we need to bring back cycle profuiciency train8ing for years 4 and above.
