October is National Walk to School Month.  As we have children traveling quite far distances we decided to keep promoting Active travel by taking part in Ealing's 10 day Active Travel challenge.  Parents were informed of the daye in Autumn list of term dates and aletter was sent before the 10th October as a reminder.  Bookmarks were given to teachrers who gave them out to their pupils.  All active journeys were marked on the bookmark by the chjildren and  a daily class tally was collected.  At the end of the challenge class 3G were the class with the most active journeys and were rewarded with a standing ovation in whole school assembly.This is a popular activity and is  a good way to remind all pupils and parents how we as a school want healthy , safe , sustainable travel at the start of new academic year.  We will repeat and aim to enter the art competion for bookmark design.
