Our school participated in the Active Challenge walk to school challenge.  We split the weeks into before and half term.  The children ticked off each day on their active challenge cards, or showed the teacher if they walked to school that day as part of the challenge.  At the end, they received a sticker and a big thankyou.

During the two week challenge, the children were keen to talk about how they travelled to school  with their class teachers.  All children in Years 4, 5 and 6 completed the active challenge and enjoyed received ticks and stickers at the end of the challenge.  At least 200 + children completed the task.  We will definitely do this again next year and I plan to hold an assembly to re-inforce active travel in October 2024.
