Our story

As we were aware that some of the students were not being so safe on the roads while cycling to school we decided to make this the focus of Road Safety Week in November. The JTAs decided that they wanted to hold a competition to increase the awareness of cycle safety. With this in mind we decided to hold a competition to create a poster that would include one of the road safety rules for cycling. The JTAs talked about the competition in an assembly and told the children that there would be prizes given out for the 3 best posters in each key stage. The posters were created and handed in then the JTAs judged the best ones. These  were laminated and displayed around the school and the winners received prizes of reflectors. The posters are still on display now so continue to have an impact on the children's cycle safety awareness.
