Pupils who are going to high school are often not well equipped to travel independently.  We had "Getting There"  Theare presentation, in which children were used to model a range of senarios where their safety would be compromised, and reminded how to be a more alert padestian.  After the traning we discussed what the children had rememebered.  96% of my class where able to recall safer corrsing techniques and ways to tavel safely.  For example taveling with a friend, not using headphones.
