S We wanted to encourage the Year 7s to be more active when going to and from school so we decided to launch a walking challenge during the Year 7 active travel month.

T The YTAs went into the Year 7 classes and encouraged all students to be as active as possible during this month and to walk to and from school as often as possible.

A The YTAs went around the 8 different form groups during the first week and told them the benefits of active travel and to explain the challenge.

R Many students decided to take the challenge and as a result we found some were considerably more active than usual. We gave "first in the lunch queue" passes to those who made the most effort during this time. That worked out about 2 students from each form.
