The school wanted to increase participation in walk to school week. In order to do this and increase number of walking journeys, Fitbits were distributed in time for walk to school week to create a step counting competition.

Students were asked to monitor their steps on the fitbit to see if they could hit their daily targets etc.  In this week students shared daily there counts, experiences and feeling around walking at the end ofthe day VT. 

Staff feedback afte half term this was positive. Students had been excited to check their count, share with others and ecnoruage each other. Some even went walking in the half term to try & meet the steps target which they may not have done before.
