As part of the Jack Petchy award a student decided she wanted to take her class swimming. In order to get to the swimming pool we wanted to promote safe walking as a mode to do this. We have covered road safety and expected behaviour in class and wanted to highlight this in delivery. The students walked from the College site up and across the main road, crossing at the traffic lights. The two independents that walk part of the way as their route have explained to other non independent students about where is safe to cross.  All students are looking forward to walking and showin their understanding with their class.
