For Walk to School week, Students in post 16 challenged staff to get involved in the step counting competition (this was suggested in the school blog).  Staff did this, some parking further away others walking instead of the  bus.  Not all staff have trackers but those that did would compare their steps with the students, resulting often in a 'walk off' during breaks with them trying to get more steps in!  The students and the staff throughly enjoyed this and have since continued to check in with stuent and compare steps.  We are hoping next year to run a bigger campagn around how steps in school with selecting landmarks, calculating steps in distance to get there then setting upon walkig the equlivant in houses.
