Our special needs school is situated on the edge of an industrial area not easily very visible to the public from the outside. We would benefit from having school zig zag lines painted in front, as all other schools have them in the borough. My DofE group who became my pioneers found ways to help the school to become more noticeable to all and see what the school needs to do in order to fulfil this. We conducted a school inspection, of how the school presents itself to the public. We spoke to premise team, school staff, highways services who gave us their view point. We are now conducting a survey with the parents to see their difficulties. After gathering information from different people, we can see the school would really benefit from having school zig zag lines painted from the school entrance to the school exit gate. Then the public would know we are a school, and drive with more care.
