As a whole school, each class held their own assembly on Road Safety (during road safety week). All resources were emailed to staff from the directed Road Safety website as suggested. Some year 3 classes also used the hedgehog resource for easier accessibility. The colouring and acitivity sheets were printed and used in the classrooms during lunch times. We then set a competiton for the children to create road safety posters. One from each class was selected for a head teachers award. Children have approached me regarding near by accidents and related these to the road safety assembly that we held in class. The impact has been positive in class and hopefully the message has been relayed to parents at home (talking about their new learning).
