A company called Scootfit came into our school to work with our Year1 and Year 2 children to teach them about riding scooters. They used balance boards to help the children decide if a 2 or 3 wheeled scooter was better for their balance and if the scootered while bending the knee or a straight leg, They then got the children to scoot around the playground to get used to the scooter, they also reminded them about wearing helmets and knee pads and that if they fell over it was fine. At the end they had a scooter disco to music. The children really engagaed with the sessions and enjoyed riding the scooters.
