Audits and research
Our story
Every parent in the school was sent a parental questionnaire re their journey to school. This then led to a whole school audit of the parental survey. Results show that whilst the majority of parents live within a one mile radius of school in terms of Q11a) I would be willing to park further away from school and walk the last five minutes of my journey - a resounding percentage, 75% of parents who responded strongly disagree with this statement..This will be hard to change parental attitudes but we will try next acdemic year. Q8) Parents contribute to parking issues outside the school was strongly agreed with on the survey yet a number of these parents drive and cause these issues. As part of the Superzone school project, one of the ideas put forward is for an enforcement officer to be shared between the three schools on rotation to enforce parking restrictions which in turn will lead to change.
