In order to get to a position where at least 75% of our pupils are travelling actively in a healthy, safe and sustainable way by walking, scootering or cycling, we recognise the need to raise the profile of travel at a strategic level. We have already been discussing this at Governor meetings and now wish to take a more holistic approach, linking School Travel, Food, Exercise, Health, Attendance, Air Quality and Eco-awareness into a Wellbeing Strategy for Darell School.

As well as taking part in the Big Pedal and Walk to School Week, we are held our first Great School Run on 9th June 2017, a fun run involving all pupils from Reception to Year 6.

This was repeated in 2018 when we held a whole school sponsored Fun Run at North Sheen Rec to raise money for charity at the same time as getting fit! This year we raised £1500 in sponsorship.
