We adapted the STARS Road Safety obstacle course to make it more applicable to EYFS and KS1. The children talked about road safety as part of PSHCE lessons and thought about safe routes in the local area and how to be safe around traffic and roads. We used the attached powerpoint and  resources from the 'Child Accident Prevention Trust'. 

We then set up the school using cones and hoops representing roads and pavements, bibs on children to represent traffic and photographs of crossings. We uses the sound system to play environmental sounds eg traffic, beeps at the traffic lights etc.
