Our story
30 pupils
Year 1's final geogrpahy topic is to learn about the River Thames - celebrating what is on Meadland's doorstep.
As part of this piece of work children wrote their own stories about the River Thames travelling from Teddington Lock (our location) upto London. See example of Year 1's story attached.
Children also created their own journey along the River Thames, by doing very basic map work and listed London landmarks that they would see as well as creating their own Duck Tours Guide work.
30 pupils
As part of Year 5's Geography work they looked at the River Thames and the Yangtze River. During this unit the children studied the use of the Yangtze for tourism and how it is used to transport goods.
