Year 2 have been invited to take part in the Richmond Safe Scooting Scheme’s practical training, which will take place on Thursday 20th October 2022. All the training will take place in the playground and will be carried out by a team of trained instructors from the borough’s Safety Education Team.

Helmets are not compulsory but must be worn by any child whose parents have sent them to school with one.  Certificates are awarded to all children who complete the training with reminders of scooter safety tips for their parents.

The training takes place in groups so any child without a scooter will be able to borrow one so that all the children can take part and benefit from the general road safety lessons.
