Year 6 children planned their individual journey to their new secondary school using Google maps. Children worked in groups and learned to position their home location on the map and then ploted their journey to their new school; whether it be by foot or walking. They also discussed possible alternative routes using IPADS. They also discussed and learned about the environmental benefits of walking or even public transport instead of being driven to school.
