Our story

Citizen science activities were carried out by a class ofyear 5 Pupils as part of an Air Quality Project, assessing the amount of nitrogen dioxide and particulates in the air in and around the school. Pupils learned about the causes and effects of air pollution and possible solutions, including the reduction in car use, particularly for short /walkable journeys.  Pupils who participated in the workshops to develop the walk zone map also covered the environmental benefits of active travel.
