We are trying to get our children coming into school without using their car. A lot of children are unable to ride their scooters properly, parents often carry the scooters as the child is unsure how to use it. Ealing Council arranged Scootfit for our year 1 children the basic skills of riding a scooter. The children really enjoyed the day. They are using their scooters more confidently when travelling to school and more often, we have seen an increase in the amount of children using their scooters when travelling to school, we have had to make more space for the children to park their scooters. Unfortunately the teacher that was trained by Scootfit is no longer at the school, so we are hoping to have another session were we can train more staff so that the sessions can continue as the chidlren enjoyed it so much.
