Situation- Although we already had an school active travel policy, it was now over a year old and was in need of a renewal.

• Task – Myself and the head teacher worked together to read over the previous policy and see what would need adapting and if there was anything we could add in order to promote safe sustainable travel. 

 • Action – We updated the policy to include more information about how the parents can keep their child safe by following the highway code and included a link to our walk to school map so parents can see how close their house may be to the school

• Result - the Policy was approved by the governing body, uploaded onto the website and an email was sent out to the parents with the new policy link so all parents were able to see the new and updated policy.
