In KS2,  the Ultimate STEM Challnge was launched with the theme focusing on building a Net Zero Community.  The Science and STP Champion launched the challenge in a KS2 Assembly to 12 classes.  Children were informed about the problems facing the Earth in terms of climate change and clean air.  The assembly identifed how waste, transport, resources and green spaces have a significant impact.  The challenge was set for children to explore our school community, both inside and outside the classroom and find opportunities to improve the sustainability.  Winners of the challenge will have their ideas considered when improvements to the playground are made in the near future.  Information was posted on school social media, website and newsletter to communicate with the wider community.
