The Havering walk zone project involved JTAs leading on the development of the map.  It was plotted using stopwatches and maps and walking 5/10 minute zones from the school.  Information was used to create a colourful map and leaflet that was launched in 3 assembilies and to parents.  Councillor Robert Benham (Cabinet Member for Education, Children & Families and Deputy Leader of the Council) attended the launch and final assembly and emphasised in his speech for park and stride for when cars have to be used.  The map clearly highlights parking outside the zone for those families who have to drive and walking the rest of the way.
