Pupil involvement
Our story
In order to set up and run a successful Dr Bike session I worked with the JTA’s to promote the session. We began by meeting as a group to discuss the Dr Bike idea. The JTA’s worked together to create a survey for each class to see if there was any interest. They fed back their results and then I booked the session in. The JTA’s then designed posters for the event which they displayed around the school. The day before the event they went to each class again to remind them about the event and tally how many children were bringing in their bikes. On the day of Dr Bike the JTA’s were responsible for collecting the children from each class and taking them down to get their fixed. They enjoyed the responsibility of helping to run an event and were looking forward to helping out again.
