We took part in a Reindeer run which was organised by Queen's and King Georges hospital fundraising department. This provided a good opportunity to raise money for a local charity whilst allowing the children to be involved in a fun physical activity. The children were asked to make a donation to take part in reindeer run rather than complete sponsorship forms individually. The children decorated their own reindeer antlers in class and we promoted the event through our school Facebook, Twitter and Parentmail pages to let the parents know about the event. We also had The Romford Recorder newspaper come in to take photos on the day. We will be featured in the next edition.  The children enjoyed the event and afterwards we were awarded with a certificate of participation and some reindeer toys. The event was a great success!
