After great success with the Walk To School Week back in October 2020 we were delighted to again be taking part in Walk To School Week 2021 in May. 

Our pupils both in KS1 and KS2 look forward to the week and are competitive in terms of wanting to be the class with the highest number of active journeys. 

We again discussed the health and environmental benefits of active journeys to school and we also informed pupils about the benefits of parking and striding instead of a full journey in a car. 

Each class did a hands up survey of the number of active journeys each day and stickers were given to pupils who had walked, cycled, scooted or had done park and stride. 

Once again the week was a huge success and many pupils now actual prefer active methods of travel to school when possible.
