Our story
Our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an environmental clean up project where pupils went on litter picking trips close to our school to help clean up the local environment. Pupils were taught about the negative effects of littering on the enrironment and the wildlife in it. Pupils sorted the littered waste into general waste and recyclable materials which were recycled in school with our own recycling. Our pupils enjoyed the trips and found that the experience was very useful and taught them the importance of disposing of waste responsibly and recycling where possible. Many thanks to 'Keep Britain Tidy' who were kind of enough to loan us the litter picking equipment.
