I delivered a virtual assembly to all KS2 classes about the health benefits of active travel. We discussed what air pollution is, how it effects us and the environment as well as what causes it. We then looked at ways in which we could travel more sustainably that would be more sustainable in terms of producing zero or at least less air pollution (walking, cycling, scooting and park and stride). Pupils shared lots of good ideas and seemed to buy into the idea of trying to make more sustainable journeys to and from school.
