Various school trips are organised throughout the year, where possible we will use our own minibuses or public transport to get to and from the venue. On regular occasion we need to use private coaches to get to and from venues especially if the group sizes are large i.e. over 30 or the venue, we are travelling to is more than a couple of hours away. Instances that we would use a private coach would be for foreign educational trips when 50 + students attend and the coach takes students to the country i.e. France, Germany for up to one week. Large sporting events i.e. National athletic championships, Regional Hockey Tournaments. All trips are risk assessed and companies are advised of our sustainability schemes we have running at the school that include idling of motor vehicles.
