I took year 13 geographer to the Crystal Sustainability exhibition to enhance their understanding of sustainability and World cities for their A Level revision. Here they able to learn content in an interactive and fun way. They built case studies and examples to support their essay writing. It was particularly fruitful for them to see how the different themes of sustainability fit together.

After this we looked at the decline and redevelopment in East London. We took cable cars over the Thames to see the extent of the regeneration in London, with particular emphasis on North Greenwich a case study of theirs. We even discussed the management of transport in London whilst being on DLR and identifying ways in which they are trying to make the London transport system more sustainable.

The girls were great and enjoyed learning the content outside the classroom in the World City of London around us.
