Air Quality Day
Our story
S- It was important to teach all pupils the connection of our active travel week to clean air. Pupils were also going to be introduced to our clean air day poster competition.
T- I went to the clean air day website and used their powerpoint slides for my assembly. As I wanted the whole school to pariticipate, I decided to plan a virtual assembly as the hall would not fit all pupils in the school.
A- The virtual assembly meant that all pupils recieved the message at the same time and could all participate in discussions. It was intresting learning about pupils current understanding of clean air and their modes of transport that they use.
R- I could see that pupils could better understand the why of our active travel week. Our highest medical need is asthama therefore, pupils could see the great importance for our local community to have a cleaner air.
