Year 5 had planned to have a road safety lesson as these pupils will be moving on to walking independently in Year 6. Prior to this session, the teachers had shared a road safety assembly which was shared by the STP champion. This would then be delivered during active travel week. The pupils then had to discuss how to be safe on the road and created a road safety poster. As a result of this, pupils are now able to share how they can travel safely to and from school when travelling independently.
