Reception class have had a lot of arguments over the bikes this year. We have them available all year round and they are very much loved but it does lead to some arguments. We had a big circle time on healthy eating, sorting out foods that should be eaten more than others. We then spoke about exercise and how important it was that everyone was able to keep fit. We linked this to the bikes and said how it is so important to share them so everyone can get exercise. This worked so well, we even made a big deal out of it afterwards by drawing a chalk road for them to follow one well so there were no collisions, the children had a brilliant day of cycling, since then we have had much less arguments in the playground.
