During this week, all children across each year group participated in Walk to School Week. Communications were made to parents in advance through the weekly school newsletter. The week began with an assembly to introduce and explain the initiative. Each classroom received a wall chart to display to promote walking to school and keep track of journeys. Children were also given an activity diary to complete during morning work. Children who travelled to school in a sustainable way were given a sticker for each day, and those with five stickers at the end of the week received a Walk to School badge.
