At Deer Park children from Year 2 participated in Scooter training on 10 November 2022. Children were reminded to bring their scooters in for the day. Children without scooters can borrow one from their friends in another group so that everyone can take part and benefit from the general road safety lessons. Helmets are not compulsory but must be worn by any child if they got one at the school. All training was on the playground and so no parents’ permission slips or other documentation were required. Each class were divided into 3 groups of approximately 20, group A before morning break, group B from morning break to lunch and group C after lunch. Each session was run for approximately one hour.
